3D Video Recording Coming To Nintendo 3DS In November

by

Nintendo have officially confirmed today that the software update that was announced last month, allowing 3DS owners to capture their own stereoscopic 3D video, will be landing this November.

On top of already being able to take 3D pictures with its camera, the 3DS will receive new functionality that will allow recording of up to 10 minutes of 3D video, whilst enabling users to create their own 3D stop-motion animation videos.

The software update will also give 3DS users new additions to StreetPass Mii Plaza, new 3D video content for SpotPass and a range of new titles in the Nintendo eShop to download.

“We are always striving to bring fun new experiences to our fans and these new features and functions for Nintendo 3DS do just that.” said Laurent Fischer, managing director, marketing & PR at Nintendo of Europe.

Although it’s unclear at this time whether recordings made will be compatible with 3D Tv’s or what format they’ll be in, I don’t think there’s anyone who doesn’t like added functionality. Let us know what you think below.

Began gaming on a hand-me-down Commodore Vic-20 back in the mid 80's and hasn't managed to shake the addiction yet. Genres of choice include anything that contains bullets and/or bouncy balls. Has been known to dabble in Destiny content.
