Activision has today announced the Modern Warfare 3 Content Season for PlayStation 3 Call of Duty Elite premium members will begin on February 28th.
The nine month season will kick off with release of two content drops, Liberation and Piazza. Both multiplayer maps will also be playable in the Survival Mode. Liberation, set in Central Park, is a map that the snipers amongst you are sure to love, as the design encourages long-range exchanges between players. Piazza, set in an Italian seaside village, is the exact opposite, with its tight corners and branching pathways favouring close-combat.
Activision hasn’t detailed the rest of the Modern Warfare 3 Content Season for PlayStation 3 Elite premium members, but we’re expecting updates to be regular, resulting in “at least 20 content drops” as stated during the Xbox 360 announcement.
There is still no word on when PC users and non-Elite subscribers will be able to get their hands on the content.
