With just hours left until PlayStation 3 exclusive, The Last of Us is properly unveiled at the Video Game Awards, it seems like the game might have been hinted at in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
During the opening scene of the Naughty Dog’s masterpiece, if you snoop around after taking out all the enemies you’ll come across a newspaper with the headline “Scientists are still struggling to understand deadly fungus”.
Is it just a coincidence that The Last of Us teaser trailer seemed to hint at a virus or fungus of some sorts as well? Does this mean Naughty Dog are involved with the development of the title? If so, that would be awesome, but I guess we’ll find out for sure tomorrow night at the Video Game Awards. For now, check out the video from Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception below, which also might hint at a possible release date.
