Ubisoft has posted a short teaser trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, which leads into a mini weaponry collection.
It seems Doctor Vidic’s pesky Knights Templar are getting restless again and planning to usher in a new era of theocratic rule. When will they learn, eh?
The trailer takes us through a warehouse-like building packed with Animus (or perhaps Animuses, err, or Animii?), which periodically ‘glitches’ to reveal that the interior is actually a lavish cathedral.
We’ve already seen that this title is likely to feature Rome as a location, so the fancy cathedral would certainly fit that assumption.
The weapons selection (featuring an axe, claw, spiky fan, dagger and syringe) is a little more confusing. Many of the pointy objects on show feature a distinctive Knights Templar cross on them, indicating they are Templar equipment.
Previous information has suggested that Brotherhood will once again feature Ezio, “in his struggle against the Templar order.” It has also mentioned “an innovative multiplayer layer allowing you to embody an assassin of your choosing.”
So either Ezio will be nicking Templar weapons at some point, or they somehow relate to the multiplayer aspect. Perhaps players will be able to control a Templar agent?
Solving a little tile puzzle on the site reveals an additional fabulous prize (ok, it reveals details of a switchblade and some downloadable wallpaper.)
