Assassin's Creed III Hits 7 Million Sales Worldwide

Ubisoft have announced that Assassin’s Creed III has topped the 7 million mark worldwide just one month after its release making it the fastest-selling game in their history.

Players certainly wasted no time in exploring the open world and getting involved in the story on offer. In solo missions, players have accumulated more than 82 centuries of gaming time and also have committed more than 3 billion assassinations. This continues in multiplayer where twice as many players have joined the multiplayer experience compared to Assassin’s Creed Revelations. To this day, more than 250 million assassinations have been performed in more than 5 billion multiplayer sessions.

A special edition of the game is currently available at GAME and includes the game and the additional unlockable content “A Dangerous Secret”. Rob Cooper, UK managing director, Ubisoft stated:

“We are delighted with the performance of Assassin’s Creed III this Christmas, This is a beautiful and epic game of exceptional quality and we’re pleased that our fans have responded so well to the brand new universe, storyline and game experience.”
