Assassin's Creed III & Splinter Cell: Retribution Set To Be Released In 2012?

by

It hasn’t yet been confirmed by Ubisoft themselves, but it seems like the company’s 2012 release schedule has found its on way on the place we call the Internet.

The schedule, published by Gameranx, features several unconfirmed titles such as Assassin’s Creed III, Splinter Cell: Retribution and Just Dance Final Party.

Rather interestingly, the website suggests that Assassin’s Creed III will launch this year for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U. If the game is in development for Nintendo’s new home console, it will be interesting to see if it takes advantage of the tablet controller. Maybe you’ll be able to plan assassinations via the controller? We’ll have to wait and see, but what we do know is that the next installment in the series will feature a new protagonist and a change of setting.

Check out the full list of Ubisoft games that are expected to be released in 2012.

  • Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 (PS3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows)
  • Far Cry 3 (PS3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows)
  • I Am Alive (PS3, Xbox 360)
  • Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (Xbox 360, PS3, Microsoft Windows)
  • Ghost Recon Online (Microsoft Windows, Wii U)
  • Splinter Cell: Retribution (PS3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows)

UPDATE: Ubisoft spoke to Eurogamer and stated the following:

“We’re thrilled and kind of amused to see this line-up news. It shows that players are anxious to hear about Ubisoft’s upcoming releases. This reported line-up is inaccurate. We guarantee you that you’ll hear directly from us soon about the amazing variety of games Ubisoft has slated for fiscal year 2012-13.”
