Batman: Arkham Asylum was one of the best games of 2009 & in many people’s eyes, if it wasn’t for Uncharted 2, Arkham Asylum would have been GOTY.
The first one was amazing, it sounds like the second one will be better, if that is possible…

Rocksteady says sequel will ‘surprise’ fans of original game
Batman: Arkham Asylum developer Rocksteady has told CVG that the title’s sequel “won’t let anyone down”.
The studio recently completed the creation of a 3D Game Of The Year version of the original title, which will be released later this month – as revealed on CVG yesterday.
But Rocksteady boss Sefton Hill told us in a new exclusive interview that the firm was now feeling “a good pressure” to match expectations for the second in the series.
He told CVG: “We’re all really excited that people want to see what we’re up to next and we really want to surprise people again.
“I’m really excited by our next project and I promise we won’t let anyone down.”
Hill said he was proud of what the firm had managed with the GOTY edition using TriOviz 3D technology.
However, he added that full stereoscopic 3D faced “barriers” before it could become mainstream.
“I think there will initially be a market for 3D but I don’t see it making a major breakthrough as soon as 2010,” he added.
“Some of the expensive technology required in the top-end glasses makes 3D gaming not really much of a spectator or social sport so there’s always going to be a bit of a barrier there.”
Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition will release in Europe – complete with 3D options – on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on March 26.
I for one cannot wait to see what Batman Arkham Asylum 2 has in store for us fans.
