DICE have announced the release date of the multiplayer beta for Battlefield 3. The date to mark on your calendars is Thursday 29th September.
It will be released on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Those who pre-ordered the PC digital version through EA’s Origin, or who own the Limited/Tier 1 edition of Medal of Honor will get early access on Tuesday 27th September.
The beta is set in Paris on the Operation Metro map. Players will work their way from lush parks on the outside of the city to a dark,bombed-out metro station and then to the vibrant streets around the Paris stock exchange. There will be two elite tactical units that will square off in Rush Mode. One side will take the offensive by attacking M-COM stations whilst the other other side will defend and protect.
The beta will end on October 10th.
