Battlefield 3 PC Update Incoming

Developer of Battlefield 3, DICE have confirmed on their official blog that a new update for the PC version of the game is on it’s way.

In the post which was made on the blog, the team explains the various features of the game that will be improved within the new patch and DICE had the following to say on what will be making it into the new patch –

So what’s in the PC patch? You’ll see improved polish, stability, weapons balancing, squad control functionality, user interface enhancements, and several feature enhancements that address feedback the community has provided to date  – plus we’re removing the so called “negative mouse acceleration” that some of you have experienced.

Also they mentioned the ‘cheating and boosting’ that has been occurring in the game and they state that they have been monitoring the situation and that if gamers experience such wrong doings then they should hit the ‘warning sign’ next to their profile name in Battlelog;

Regarding cheating and boosting, we continue to analyze data to identify and hold accountable (ban, wipe stats) players that cheat or boost. We’ve received questions about what to do when faced with unsportsmanlike conduct in Battlefield 3 – the best course of action is to click the warning sign next to their profile name in Battlelog, or head to the EA Help Desk and report your issue. These leads will enable us to follow up on the report.

No official release date has been announced for the incoming patch as of yet but DICE have said that to check back next week for the exact date of when the patch is coming and the full detailed fix list.
