Beyond: Two Souls To Feature At Tribeca Film Festival

We all know gaming is big, but Sony has gone the extra mile to prove just that by announcing that Beyond: Two Souls is set to feature at the Tribeca Film Festival.

The star-studded cast, including Willem Dafoe and Ellen Page, and creative team behind the game will walk the red carpet at an exclusive premiere event on 27th April 2013 to showcase Beyond: Two Souls’ cinematic prowess. The event will be live-streamed on NGB (more details at the end of this post), so don’t worry you’ll all get a front row seat to check out whatever is shown off.

The event will give lucky attendees to participate in a live Q&A session with the attending cast Ellen Page, Kadeem Hardison (A Different World), Eric Winter (The Mentalist, Days of Our Lives) and the games writer director, Quantic Dream’s David Cage.

Ellen Page, the star of Juno, had this say: “This has been a really intense and exciting experience for me, and one that I am extremely proud of. I’m excited to see everyone’s reaction to the extended scene we are going to be screening – and to feel the powerful emotion that David Cage instils in all his games.”

Willem Dafoe, who plays scientist Nathan Dawkins in the game, added: “This is a momentous event both in the world of gaming and in the history of the Tribeca Film Festival. I wish I could be there on the night of the exclusive showing of a part of the game – it’ll be an exciting event. Beyonf: Two Souls tells a beautiful story and the players can wholly participate in each scenario and choose the characters’ action. This game is unlike any project that I’ve ever been involved with before.”

Sounds exciting, no? We’re huge fans of Quantic Dream and David Cage here at NGB, so we can’t wait for the game and to see what is shown off at the event. Make sure you bookmark or favourite this post and  join us on 27th April to watch the live stream.
