It was all supposed to be revealed on Sunday, but this is the games industry. Nothing stays hidden for too long. That’s right, the next game in the Call of Duty series has been revealed, titled Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Looks rather nifty, and it has Kevin Spacey too.
Nope, you didn’t read that last part wrong. Kevin Spacey will be play quite a big role, he’s Advanced Warfare’s main antagonist. We don’t his character’s name yet, but he’s the power hungry head of a private military organisation that’s targeting the US government. Almost sounds likes his character from House of Cards. Almost.
The Advanced Warfare bit of the title gives the theme away a bit, but don’t worry the trailer more than expands on it. We get to see some parkour, soldiers climbing buildings, jumping crazy distances and hoverbikes. Call of Duty has gone all high-tech, and it looks rather good. Release date is currently set at 4th November 2014, probably worldwide.
Check out the trailer below, it’s all footage from the Xbox One version of the game. I guess we’ll find out more details on Sunday. You know, when the official reveal was supposed to take place. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, ladies and gents!
