Activision has today officially announced the existence of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and stated it will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on November 13th, just as a leak earlier in the week suggested.
The game is available to pre-order now via the official website, with its official description stating the following:
Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare.
The above information and leaked screenshots (which you can see below) confirm that Black Ops 2 will be set in the future, allowing you to use technology such as a Quadrotor attack drone on the battlefield.
Activision has yet to release any footage of Black Ops 2, but you shouldn’t to wait too long as the debut trailer should be available to view on NGB once it has first aired on US TV this evening.
