Sony’s new SVP of PlayStation brand marketing, Guy Longworth has revealed in a video interview that a PlayStation Vita version of the popular series, Call of Duty will be released on the system this autumn.
Speaking to GameTrailers.com, Longworth all but confirmed that Activision’s Call of Duty franchise would be released towards the end of the year on Sony’s new handheld console. He stated the following:
“In the autumn, [my kids] are really looking forward to Call of Duty on Vita, and that’s going to be an absolute game changer for the platform.”
It’s not known yet if the game in question will be a brand new title in the Call of Duty series for the PlayStation Vita or if the game will be a port of a game that has already been released on home consoles. We’re sure to find out more in the coming months though that’s for sure.
