Capcom Announce DmC Devil May Cry Release Date

by

Capcom has announced DmC Devil May Cry will be released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on January 15th 2013 in both North America and Europe.

Developed by the Ninja Theory, the ever so slightly controversial series reboot will also be making its way across to the PC further down the line in 2013.

Whilst Capcom never stated the game would get a release this year, it was expected that DmC Devil May Cry would be released in the final quarter of 2012. If that was indeed the case, then it joins BioShock Infinite and Tomb Raider in what seems to be an ever growing list of titles being pushed back to 2013.

Looking on the bright side, you won’t have to wait too long for game once 2012 is over. To add to that, in a bid to keep you in the DmC Devil May Cry mood, Capcom has sent us over a few screenshots showcasing the game’s supporting character Kat and some information regarding her, both of which can be seen below.

Kat is a former runaway that joined The Order very early in her life. She is a medium and a gifted psychic who can see into Limbo, the demon realm, but not directly interact with it in the way that Dante does. She is the right hand girl of the Leader of The Order and devotes her very life to him, often putting herself in grave danger to gather intelligence from Limbo.

There is a sweet innocence about Kat’s world view and logic, but when it comes to her specialist subject, the demon realm, she is an undoubted expert. Kat is The Order’s ‘eyes and ears’ and is tasked with guiding Dante on his mission through Limbo.
