Just before the real F1 season kicks off in Melbourne this weekend, Codemasters has today announced that F1 2012 will be launching worldwide this coming September for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
To accompany the announcement of the game, Codemasters revealed F1 2012 will feature a Young Driver Test mode, introducing you to the world of F1 via a range of tutorials and then challenging you to earn a place at a team for the upcoming season. The mode is inspired by its real-life counterpart where young drivers are given a chance to show their talent on the track.
No other major details regarding F1 2012 have been unveiled yet, but you can expect the game to feature the return of Germany’s famous Hockenheim circuit, the brand new Austin track that will host the US Grand Prix and the majority of F1 2011’s modes, including co-op play.
Codemasters topped off the announcement of the F1 2012 by releasing an interesting video following the exploits of Creative Director, Stephen Hood. Check it out below and be sure to let us know what you think.
