Its been a while since a cricket game was released but Codemaster’s today announced that a new cricket title would be coming to next-gen consoles. International Cricket 2010 is developed by Australian studio Trickster Games and the game will be released in the Summer of this year.
Producer of the title, John Szoke spoke about working with Codemasters who are quite famous for producing top quality cricket titles over the years. He said –
“Codemasters enjoys an unrivaled heritage in producing cricket games, and International Cricket 2010 will build on this success with a range of innovative gameplay features and enhancements.”
“With a focus on taking gamers into the action like never before, International Cricket 2010 will deliver the most authentic cricket gaming yet.”
One new feature which sounds like it could be a great addition is something that the developer is calling, ‘Action Cam’ which puts you at the heart of the action. Below is a section from the press release regarding the all new ‘Action Cam’ –
The new Action Cam will immerse players in all the on-pitch drama, intensity and excitement of fiercely competitive international cricket. Supplementing traditional broadcast views, players can now feel the satisfaction of smashing home 90mph+ deliveries and experience the thrill of thundering down the track to bowl from Action Cam’s new on-field perspectives.
