SEGA Forever
Today SEGA have announced SEGA Forever, a collection of retro classics coming to iOS and Android. Games from each of SEGA’s consoles; Master System, Mega Drive and even the Dreamcast will feature throughout the coming months. The games also feature a few cool upgrades such as leaderboards and the ability to save game progress. Also, the games will have full Bluetooth gamepad support which is pretty great. And on top of all of this, the games are completely free to play, however, the free versions will contain adverts. SEGA has gotta make money somewhere though, right? But fret not if the thought of ads in these classics is enough to ruin your sleeping pattern as you can purchase the games for £1.99 each. Not a bad trade off for an ad free game methinks.
The initial line-up is quite small but does host some genuine classics: Sonic The Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Phantasy Star II, Kid Chameleon and Comix Zone. More games will be released over the coming months with new games coming bi-weekly. We’ll also start to see games from other platforms later on in the year. Chances are most of you have already played these games to death but it’s great to see them releasing on a platform that you literally carry around with you everywhere, probably. The added controller support is also a nice addition.

Cities: Skylines coming to PS4
After it’s console debut on Xbox One a few months ago, Cities: Skylines is now coming to PS4. On August 15th players will be able to download the new console edition of the game, packed full to the brim with content and the included After Dark expansion. The Cities: Skylines PlayStation 4 edition has been reworked with the controller in mind. The entire control scheme has been tweaked and tinkered with to ensure the game plays great on your DualShock 4. Cities: Skylines received a massively positive reception when it originally released on PC back in 2015 and now it’s great that more people get to play it.

Gaming deals galore
It’s officially summer and that means people will more than likely go outside and take advantage of the weather. That’s not great for the gaming market, though, so Steam and Sony have stuck their collective middle finger to the sun and dropped a bunch of cheap content in their respective stores.
Steam Summer Sale
From tomorrow the Steam summer sale will be unleashed before you, spanning till the 5th July (I think). The news broke on a PayPal tweet exclaiming that you can get a further £5 off deals when paying with PayPal. The offer runs until the 5th July, hence why I assume that’s the end date of the sale. So, from 6 pm (BST) tomorrow (22nd June) jump onto Steam and pick up a bargain.
PlayStation Plus Double Discount Sale
The PlayStation Plus Double Discount Sale (PPDDS) is running now and you can snag yourself some great games with PlayStation Plus members getting extra discounts. In fact, that’s probably why they called it the PPDDS. There are some genuinely decent games in there too, including; The Witcher III: GOTY – £17.50, Far Cry Primal – £13.79, Hitman: Complete First Series – £17.99 and Destiny: The Collection – £19.99. You can check out the full list of games here: PlayStation Sale
