David Cage Reveals Why The Heavy Rain DLC Has Been Cancelled

by

Recently it has been revealed that the DLC for Heavy Rain which was scheduled to release in the future at some point, has been cancelled. Nobody really knew the ins and outs as to why it had been cancelled but we all knew it was to do with the game getting a Playstation Move makeover. Bad news as it would of been great to have the chance to play the game as the Origami Killer but it seems that Sony wanted David and his team to focus on the Playstation Move side of the game rather than creating new content.

In an interview with Nowgamer.com, David Cage explains why the DLC has been cancelled and also talks about the Playstation Move as well. Check it out below –

“Chronicles are on hold as all the team is focused on HR Move,” Cage told NowGamer. “We proposed three episodes about one hour long and being focused on the background of the main characters. I thought fans would really enjoy these episodes because they explained many aspects of HR and why characters are who they are.”

With a Move launch on the horizon though, Sony had other ideas for the game. “Unfortunately, Sony preferred to ask us to focus on Move to support the device rather than on creating new content,” added Cage. “On our side, we did not want to spend more time on HR, which would have meant delaying new projects. This is a decision I can understand, and I am certainly happy we had the opportunity to play with this device and to support it, although I am certainly disappointed for fans we could not finish the story of HR the way we intended.”
