Rising Star Games have today announced that their cult hit, Deadly Premonition, will be available to purchase via the Xbox LIVE Games on Demand service on July 5th 2011.
For those of you who have never heard of it, Deadly Premonition is an open-world game where you play as FBI Special Agent Francis York, who sets off to a town known as Greenvale, charged with solving the murder of a local girl. Whilst that all sounds relatively normal, it is anything but. As you play the game, you’ll come across eccentric town folk, supernatural creatures and eventually realise that the protaganist himself is ever so slightly crazy!

Deadly Premonition is a title that won’t cater to the tastes of every gamer, but if you get it then you’ll be compelled to see it through until the end. Here’s what Martin Defries (Managing Director, Rising Star Games) had to say regading today’s announcement, “Deadly Premonition is a quirky and unique title we are proud to have published. We knew there was an audience for the title and we delivered them the game they wanted. Now Deadly Premonition is on Games on Demand it will give even more people a chance to marvel at this completely individual title and decide for themselves what they think of the most controversial title of 2010.”
