Get ready to burn some rubber and crash in style, as Codemasters has today released the debut gameplay trailer for their soon-to-be-released title, DiRT Showdown.
The video features some work-in-progress gameplay footage which showcases the full-impact, destruction-focussed racing featured in DiRT Showdown’s 8 Ball event. You’ll see eight racers perform on a dirty, dusty circuit located in the sun-baked n desert, taking on jumps and dangerous crossover points as they battle for position against fireworks and fire cannons. It looks like an absolute blast, we love the DiRT series, and can’t wait to get our hands on Showdown.

DiRT Showdown will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC sometime in May 2012.
