Destiny 2 Gets September Release Date, PC Version and Eye-Watering Collector's Edition

by

Bungie and publisher Activision announced earlier today that the full sequel to Destiny, aptly named Destiny 2, will be releasing September 8th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and… PC.

After months of speculation and timely leaks, the doubt over whether Destiny 2 will be PC compatible has finally been settled. The reveal trailer throws up some more questions regarding the nature of the game, but it seems everything has been lost (including your gear and the Tower), as declared by Commander Zavala and some typically humorous Cayde-6 dialogue. Further more, the trailer goes on to give us the release date, as well as confirming details about an early-access beta available to those who pre-order.

Game retail outlet has popped up with the packages on offer and the Collector’s Edition looks a bit tasty – and expensive. With the standard editions setting you back £54.99 on consoles and £49.99 on PC, the limited editions £89.99 on consoles and £79.99 on PC, and finally the Collector’s Edition that comes in at an impressive £219.99 on consoles and £209.99 on PC. Ouch.

Take a look at the trailer and let us know what you think in the comments, Guardians.

Began gaming on a hand-me-down Commodore Vic-20 back in the mid 80's and hasn't managed to shake the addiction yet. Genres of choice include anything that contains bullets and/or bouncy balls. Has been known to dabble in Destiny content.
