New season, new Xur
Xur has arrived! This week you’ll find him in the TOWER, and he’s carrying the D.A.R.C.I (Sniper Rifle), Celestial Nighthawk (Hunter Helm), Hallowfire Heart (Titan Chest), Eye of Another World Exotic (Warlock Helm).
It’s season 2 and Xur’s first week post Curse of Osiris expansion, which means the planned changes have taken effect – Fated Engrams and Three of Coins for everyone. If you’ve not kept up with Bungie’s blog posts we’ll give you a quick run down of this means for Xur’s inventory. Fated Engrams give you a guaranteed exotic drop that you don’t already own. You can purchase these once a week (across all characters – so one per account). The Three of Coins are a returning boon from Destiny 1 that increase your chances of getting an exotic engram drop whilst playing through the many available activities, although hold fire on using these as it’s reported currently that they may not be working as intended!
LOOT OF THE WEEK – Fated Engram
One of the highlights this week is the Celestial Nighthawk, which is a superb Hunter exotic for Hunters. It basically takes your multiple shot Golden Gun super ability and condenses it into an all-powerful single shot – perfect for Boss damage (ie Calus). Although it is absolutely the best exotic on the list we have to dedicate our ‘loot of the week’ section to the new Fated Engram for it’s first week in game. The new system just might give you that item you’ve been hunting since launch. Just remember to buy everything already in the inventory first, other wise you may find yourself with a D.A.R.C.I if you don’t own it – and that would be sadface.
