Second week for PC, eighth for console – Xur is here again! This week you’ll find him on the EDZ, and he’s carrying the Graviton Lance (Pulse Rifle), Young Ahamkara’s Spine (Hunter Arms), Mask of the Quiet One (Titan Helm), Nezarec’s Sin (Warlock Helm).
So apparently the Mask of the Quiet One looks (and I quote) like a “blobby mess” when settings are low on PC, so take note and don’t Drestiny on a PC that runs like a potato. That aside, it’s actually a very good helm that shares ability recharge buffs just like the Warlock helm this week, with some minor difference. Mainly that you’ll have to take damage with the Titan helm, and deal it with the Warlock helm. Sounds about right if you ask me. Possibly the weakest this week is the Hunter arms, Young Ahamkara’s Spine. Whilst looking rather badass, it merely increases duration of tripmines which aren’t in a great spot right now. It does, however, mark an enemy that gets hit by it but let’s be honest, how many trip mines have you voluntarily walked into lately?
LOOT OF THE WEEK – Mask of the Quiet One/Graviton Lance
My choice of the week is split, sort of. The Graviton Lance, on console, is okay. Whilst hand cannons and pulse rifles are still figuring out their place on consoles they’ve hit the ground running on PC and the gun is noticeably more useful on the mouse and keyboard setup. What gives it hope on console is that it sounds one of the most impressive guns in the entire game on all systems – it really does sound like a high-tempo dance track when you’re letting off shots repeatedly. That said, there’s a ton of utility so outside of PC the Titan helm makes a strong case. I’ll leave this one for you guys to fight out…
