DiRT Showdown 'Race Hard, Party Hard' Gameplay Trailer

With DiRT Showdown’s release less than two weeks away, Codemasters has today a brand new gameplay trailer showcasing certain facets of the explosive racer.

The trailer, titled ‘Race Hard, Party Hard’, shows off some of the events featured in the Showdown Tour, revealing the racing and party nature of each location

If you haven’t done so yet, you can download the DiRT Showdown demo via Xbox LIVE Marketplace, PlayStation Network and Steam. The demo features a “full-impact” solo race and a “bone-jarring” eight player online demolition derby event.

Codemasters has sent us over some statistics in relation to the demo, which can be seen below. Since demo’s launch, players have:

  • Destroyed two million cars in crashes.
  • Driven far enough to travel around the world 100 times.
  • Consumed enough oil to make five returns trips to the moon.

These above results were recorded by RaceNet, the free new online extension for Codemasters Racing games that tracks and rewards player achievements.

If you’re looking to pick up the game, a special ‘Hoonigan’ edition of DiRT Showdown is now available to pre-order exclusively from GAME and Gamestation. Sporting unique packaging, the DiRT Showdown: Hoonigan Edition will include an in-game cash boost, an online XP multiplier plus Monster Energy liveries for the Kohler D350, Duke Coupe and Ford Fiesta Gymkhana 3 and Hoonigan liveries for the Holbrook Growler, Logan Vulture and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X JUN, redeemed via an online code. Not a bad special edition at all!

Anyway, the trailer is what you’re probably here to see, so check it out and be sure to let us know what you think.

DiRT Showdown will launch May 24th across mainland Europe, May 25th in the UK and ship to stores across North America on May 29th.
