Bethesda has just announced that Dishonored will be released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in North America on October 9, in Australia on October 11 and throughout Europe on October 12.
Dishonored is set in Dunwall, an industrial whaling city where steampunk-inspired technology and other forces co exist in the shadows. You take on the role of Corvo, a once-trusted bodyguard of the beloved Empress who has been murdered. Framed for the murder, Corvo becomes an infamous assassin, known by the disturbing mask that becomes his calling card. In a time of uncertainty, the city is besieged by plague and is ran by a corrupt government who are armed with dangerous technologies. Dark forces provide you with supernatural abilities, but at a cost. The truth behind Corvo’s betrayal is as dirty as waters that surround the city and the life that he had once has gone forever.
You will be able to creatively defeat your enemies thanks to the game’s flexible combat system, combining supernatural abilities with weapons and gadgets. Will you decided to take on enemies via the cover of darkness or attack them head on with your weapons drawn? The outcomes of each mission depends on the choices you make.
