E3 2013 – The Witcher 3 Will Import Save Files From The Witcher 2

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will have the ability to import your save file from The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings. According to CD Projekt RED Executive, John Mamais, This function is a definite for PC gamers.

For those of you who have played the likes of the Mass Effect series, you will know just how great this new is! If you are unfamiliar with such gaming qualities, this means that the decisions you made in Witcher 2 for example, the decision to let a certain drunk troll live or die, will carry over and effect your play through in Witcher 3.

With regard to the consoles, Mamais has said:

“We’re not sure how it’s going to work on the consoles yet, but we might try to create some kind of game state even if you haven’t played. Obviously we didn’t make the game for the Playstation 3, so we might try to deliver something for the PS4 that could create some kind of profile for those players.”

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is due for release in 2014. Let us know if you’re excited in the comments below!

You know you're a gamer when you live for the smell of a feshly opened game, mmmmmmm yes! I fell in love with games the day I was given a NES which came with Teenage Mutant Nunja Turtles and Mario Bros. Since then my tastes have developed and I'll happily play most genres, but I can tell you that scary games are a no go! I also try to avoid realistic racing titles. It's Mario Kart for the win!
