E3 2015, PES 2016 and Our Plan

by

So E3 is almost upon us, 12 days from today to be exact, so we thought it was about time we shared our plans. You know, because a little game called PES 2016 will be there.

Sure, it’s not “official” at time of writing, but we know PES 2016 should be there (read: it will be there) thanks to the joys of Twitter. Come on, there’s a first reveal coming on 12 June. It will be at E3.

Anyway, the important stuff, our plans. Gari and I will be there representing WENB, aiming to bring you some fantastic content. That includes written stuff, videos, streams (Periscope) and instant reaction via the magic of Twitter. You know me, so expect honest impressions. No rubbish or bias.

Here’s what I recommend doing if you want to stay up-to-date with our PES 2016 coverage.

Twitter

Follow @AsimTanvir@GariClark and @WENBlog.

Periscope

Download the app on iOS or Android. Follow Gari and I (same usernames as Twitter) then wait for notifications the exact moment we go live from E3.

YouTube

We’ll be uploading YouTube videos as and when we can.  This will most likely include interviews with Adam (candid and honest) and a few other bits. I doubt we’ll be able to upload any gameplay footage at this stage, but we’ll do so if we are allowed. You can be sure of that. Subscribe here.

Instagram

I don’t think Gari uses this alot, but I do. Follow me, I’m asimtanvir. There will be photos and videos, although the latter depends on if we’re allowed. Just like the YouTube stuff.

WENB website

This place, of course! We’ll be updating the website with the latest PES 2016 from E3 as quickly as possible. As you’d expect, this will include written impressions from me.

When should you expect PES 2016 content from us?

This is a tricky one as we’re there covering a whole host of other games too. E3 is a big show! However, PES 2016 is a focus. I can’t give you an exact date and time when you should expect written impressions or videos, but it will most likely between 16 June and 21 June. Whenever I get some free time, I will write my arse off!

What I can provide you is an estimate as to when to look out for tweets and/or Periscope streams from us. So our first appointment of the show is with Konami at from 12pm to 1pm Los Angeles time on 16 June. If you’re in the UK, that’s between 8pm to 9pm. With that taken into account, expect impressions from us on Twitter and via Periscope any time between 8pm and 10pm UK time on 16 June. That’s as accurate a date and time I can give.

Right, that’s it. Let’s look forward to the PES 2016 reveal on 12 June and take it from there. Any questions or requests, please fire them in the comments. Be nice. Peace!

Joint Editor-in-Chief of this wonderful place. Over 10 years of games industry experience on all sides of the fence and more! Huge Metal Gear fan and all-round geek.

If you can, ask them how does their license with the UEFA Champions/Europa Leagues work, as far as what’s included with it and why doesn’t that license include all of the teams competing in the competitions? IMO it’s worthless without all the teams.

I can answer that. They are simply locked out of getting certain team licenses and/or are priced out by competitor(s). It’s not a simple case of getting the Champions League/Europa League license and you get all the teams too. There are negotiations with certain teams (if not all) separately too.… Read more »

The only reason I say it is worthless is because the “competitors” game has Champions and Europa League tournaments in it also. It’s just not licensed so it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that PES has but it’s pretty much the same thing. Both are missing teams from… Read more »

Imagine a future where Fifa was defunct due to whats going on right now, and UEFA took over all things football with PES having exclusive rights to all licensing..what a turn of events that would be!

KONAMI Plans is destroying more fans for PC Users. Less DLC’s, less updates, less bug fixes, Less graphics and everything. No intro’s, no free gameplay, no referrees maybe now… And my time for PES is already dead since 2013, first release of PES 2014. GoodBye 🙂

Oh well – only a few more months to wait until we can all actually play pes 2016 and thus put pes 2015 to rest

Lets just hope the game is good enough that Konami wont silence those that play it.

Asim, look forward to your coverage as always. I am enjoying PES 2015 and still playing it. It’s a huge improvement on the car crash that was PES 2014. I have scored so many different types of goals (hope to upload them soon). The old feeling of satisfaction of scoring… Read more »
