In case you missed it on Sunday, here are all of the announcements from Ubisoft’s E3 2017 Press Conference
MARIO + RABBIDS = XCOM?!
Ubisoft opened the show with a charming trailer for the much-rumoured (and heavily leaked) Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, and then brought out Shigeru Miyamoto for good measure! What I didn’t think anyone was expecting, however, was a display of a surprisingly deep RPG with XCOM style battles! This definitely shot up the list of NGB Towers’ “most wanted” games, and it should be an adorable title when it launches on August 29th

THE CREW 2: CREW-S CONTROL
Ubisoft seem somewhat determined to make The Crew a thing, despite the somewhat tepid response to the original game. This new trailer hinted at multiple improvements, as well as adding to the absolutely crazy gameplay that should hopefully be a defining characteristic of the series.

TRANSFERENCE – ELIJAH WOOD TAKES ON VR
A mysterious trailer was shown for Transference, a game starring Elijah Wood. The initial stages of the trailer made it look like this was his company, but the way that the trailer panned out made us all feel a little bit funny, and nothing seems like it’s as it should be…

SKULL AND BONES – UBI MAKING A PIRATE GAME? YES THEY ARRRRRRGH
(I make no apologies for that pun)
After Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, a number of people wanted Ubisoft to make a game that focused around the game’s pirate mechanics… And it looks like they’ve now obliged! This fantastic trailer showcased some of the things that made naval mechanics a whole bunch of fun to play around with, and is of stark contrast to Rare’s Sea of Thieves, which is playing to the more comical side. Is there enough room for 2 pirate games on the market? We’ll find out next year!

SOUTH PARK – IT’S STILL COMING, AND NOW THERE’S A MOBILE GAME!
The Fractured But Whole is still coming in October, so thankfully that date looks like it’s now set in stone, but one thing that we didn’t expect was a new mobile game! No date was given apart from “2017”, so you’d imagine it’d pop along close to the release of TFBW.

FAR CRY 5 GOT A NEW TRAILER, AND REVEALED ITS ANTAGONIST
After the announcement of Far Cry 5 managed to piss off some of the worst people on the planet at the thought of being able to kill white fundamentalists, we finally got a more in-depth look at your bad guy for the game right here. Oh, and there’s a dog. That will bring you guns. This game looks absolutely bonkers, and we can’t wait!

STARLINK: NO MAN’S SKYLANDERS
OK, I blatantly stole that joke from Twitter, I apologise.
But, a new Toys-to-Life game was announced called Starlink: Battle for Atlas – and it looks like it’s basically No Man’s Sky but with actual toy spaceships. Could this be the game that was teased in Watch Dogs 2? Interestingly, they led with the Switch version, which comes with a new Joycon Grip to snap your toy ships into, which certainly looks like a really cool (and doubtless horrendously expensive) addition to the TTL genre.

BEYOND GOOD & EVIL 2 IS A THING! A REAL THING!
After a long, long trail of misdirection, lies, rumours and heartbreak for fans of the original BGE, this sweary trailer finally gave us confirmation that the heavily rumoured sequel is not only in development, but has taken a DRASTIC tonal change in the 15 years or so that it’s been since the original one.
