EA and Valve have started a new partnership

by

It’s an Epic move

EA has announced a partnership with Valve today which will see their upcoming games releasing on Steam. The first game to release on Steam will be Star Wars Fallen Order on November 15th and this will be shortly joined by The Sims 4, Apex Legends, FIFA 20 and Battlefield V, to name a few.

But that’s not the only thing coming to Steam. EAs “Netflix” service – EA Access – is releasing on Steam in Spring, next year! EA Access brings with it the vault – a collection of EA titles that are readily available to play with your EA Access sub. The benefits of EA Access aren’t just tied to The Vault either, you’ll also be able to get exclusive member-only rewards for playing EA games alongside tasty discounts.

In a sea of publishers jumping ship to Epic Store, this news comes as a welcomed announcement for Valve. EA are big-hitters and to get a partnership as such can only be a good thing. After all, healthy competition is great for everyone. Now let’s see what Epic has up their sleeves.

At present, it looks like EA Origin will work in conjunction with Steam but could this be the beginning of the end for EAs client?
