EA has announced that a select number of lucky Mass Effect 3 gamers will get the chance to play the game a week or more before its official launch date thanks to a quite unique promotion.
EA will be launching copies of the game into space using weather balloons in London, New York, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Paris and Berlin. Each game that EA launches into space is accompanied by a GPS tracking device in which gamers can track its journey back to earth by visiting the official Mass Effect website, www.masseffect.com.
Mass Effect 3 is the last in Commandar Shepard’s story and we will see him trying to complete his mission of taken down the Reapers and Cerberus while making sure that he saves the galaxy as well. A Mass Effect 3 demo is now available to download on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Marketplace and PC.
Mass Effect 3 is released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on March 6th in North America and on March 9th in Europe.
