We’ve seen reports of this appearing on Twitter and it’s not a bug, EA are in fact beginning to reimburse fans who mysteriously lost FIFA points after purchasing them around the FIFA 13 launch.
As a gesture of good will EA have also thrown in some Gold Packs for those affected to say thanks for their patience during the problems. EA also apologised for the amount of time it’s taken to get to this outcome but validating everyone’s FIFA Points claim and then working with Sony/Microsoft to resolve I’m sure you can imagine is a fairly long process.
“We are aware that some people had experienced an issue when purchasing FIFA points. This weekend, we began reimbursing fans with verified occurrences of FIFA Points not appearing in their accounts after making a purchase. In addition to getting their FIFA Points, affected fans were given FUT packs as a small token of our appreciation for their continued support and understanding of this inconvenience.”
If anyone is still having an issue with FIFA Points, or anything for that matter make sure you log a report via help.ea.com
So, a letter to the BBC, a new patch, reimbursement, compensation and an apology… Water under the bridge?
