EA have unveiled the next iteration of their highly successful Battlefield series, Battlefield 4.
Developed by DICE, Battlefield 4 will be out this Autumn for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. EA have stayed quiet on if Battlefield 4 will be a next-gen title but we certainly expect it to be.
The game will run on a new version of the fantastic Frostbite Engine and DICE want the game to have more of an open world approach, differing to Battlefield 3’s linear gameplay. EA executive Patrick Soderlund stated:
“We are so humbled and proud to debut Battlefield 4 on a global stage with simultaneous events in San Francisco and Stockholm, To be this early in development, and to already be so polished is a huge achievement for the DICE team and reflection of their passion and commitment to driving the franchise forward. Today’s demo was just the beginning – we have so much more in store.”
