Epic Games are set to unveil a “surprise new franchise” this Saturday at the Video Game Awards.
Geoff Keighley, host of Spike TV’s GTTV, revealed the information via Twitter, stating Cliff Bleszinski (Design Director at Epic Games) will be attending the event to make the announcement in person.
Keighley’s tweet also features a link, which leads to a video of Bleszinski talking very briefly about the pending announcement, where he states the game is “an entirely new and fresh experience”.
It’s nice to Epic are moving away from the hugely successful Gears of War series, and working on a brand new franchise. We can’t wait to see what is revealed this Saturday at the Video Game Awards.
