Evolve 'Big Alpha' Test Coming First on Xbox One

by

2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios have announced when the ‘Big Alpha’ test will begin for Evolve.

It has been revealed that the closed Alpha test will begin first on the Xbox One on October 30th. Xbox One owners will have 24 hours up until November 2nd. You can register for the chance to get into Alpha Test here.

PlayStation 4 and PC owners can then join in on the action on October 31st. It has also been revealed that those who have pre-ordered Evolve, and do so by October 21st, will get access to the alpha test on their chosen platform. Chris Ashton, co-founder and design director at Turtle Rock Studios stated:

The incredible reactions from early Evolve players have exceeded our highest expectations, but we still have a lot of hard work ahead of us in the coming months. We need to stress test the servers and the matchmaking system, look at balance, unlock rates, etc. The alpha test is not fully representative of the final product, but it’s our chance to see what the game looks like in the real world, and we will test again in the open beta for Evolve exclusively for Xbox One in January 2015. The data gathered in the tests will help make Evolve the best that it can possibly be when it launches on February 10, 2015.

A new trailer has also been released. Be sure to let us know your thoughts via the comment section below.
