Square Enix have announced that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will enter closed beta for the PC on February 25th.
This gives players a chance to try out the newly designed MMO experience that will be on offer once the full game has been released. Players will be able to try the new Full Active Time Events or ”FATE’ which is part of the new gameplay system on offer. They can take part in the random occurring events by simple being within the proximity of the event, with the need to form parties.
To help players assess their PC specs ahead of the beta, Square Enix have released benchmark software which can be downloaded for free at the official site.
Two new trailers have also been released showing entirely of real-time footage captured from the official benchmark software. Also, the new, custom-designed gamepad UI is introduced by producer and Director, Naoki Yoshida. Enjoy the videos and let us know your thoughts via the comment section below.
