Square Enix have today revealed the launch date of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on the PlayStation 4.
The PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be released on April 14th, whilst those with the PlayStation 3 version of the MMORPG will be available to transfer to the next-gen version completely free of charge.
Those who pre-order the game (pre-orders start today) will also get early access to the game, which will begin on April 11th – April 13th. Players will also be able to receive either the Mog Cap or Cait Sith Doll Minion depending on where you pre-order it from.
A PlayStation 4 Collector’s Edition has also been announced. It will include exclusive in-game items, a Fat Chocobo Mount and a Wind-up Moogle Minion. Other items in the Collector’s Edition include:

- FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Art Card Set
- FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Themed Security Token
A free beta is also available right now where anyone with a PlayStation 4 can join in and test it out before deciding to purchase the game.
