First Party PS Vita European Launch Titles Revealed

Sony has today revealed the first party launch line-up for the PlayStation Vita in Europe.

The handheld, which is set to launch in Europe on February 22nd 2012 in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Australasia, will have the following first party titles available from day one:

  • Uncharted: Golden Abyss
  • WipEout 2048
  • Reality Fighters
  • Little Deviants
  • ModNation Racers: Road Trip
  • Everybody’s Golf
  • Escape Plan
  • Top Darts
  • Hustle Kings
  • Unit 13
  • MotorStorm RC

If you’ve been keeping up with our PlayStation Vita coverage, you’ll know that the final two titles in the list above, Unit 13 and MotorStorm RC, are brand new additions to the launch line-up.

Announced earlier today, Unit 13 is described as a “third-person military shooter that will offer gamers a true, dual-analogue experience”. Developed from scratch for the PlayStation Vita by Zipper Interactive, the game has been designed with portable play in mind. The bite-sized gameplay and non-linear mission structure will allow players to jump in at any time, without having to worry about keeping up with the story.

Unit 13 will present players with demanding missions in the most hostile regions of the world – to stop terrorists, dictators, gunrunners, warlords and drug traffickers from destabilising the Horn of Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and South Asia. Players will choose from six different classes, based on their role and playing style – Infiltrator, Sniper, Soldier, Technician, Point Man, and Support.

Whilst most of you will probably know what to expect from MotorStorm RC, Sony stated the title will provide a “unique blend of old-school and contemporary racing gameplay”. Interestingly, they also added that social interaction will play a key role in MotorStorm RC.

Apart from all the racing, the game will allow players to build a garage of vehicles, with 24 unlockable vehicles initially available. However, DLC and expansion packs that give players access to new tracks and vehicles is planned after launch.
