Tis the season to be brawly
Fortnite Season 7 is out now and as most suspected, it’s Christmas themed!
Fortnite Season 7 brings a whole bunch of changes to the game including new locations, vehicles and customisation options. A giant iceberg has hit southwestern corner of the map, leaving a brand-new snowy biome in its wake. This new biome includes three new names locations; Frosty Flights, Polar Peak & Happy Hamlet, alongside some other interesting bits and bobs to take a gander at.
Season 7 also introduces a brand-new vehicle – X-4 Stormwing Plane. The plane seats 5 people, 4 of those sitting on the wings with the other piloting. It also has a mounted machine gun for both aerial and land-based combat.
The long awaited weapon wraps are also making their appearance in Season 7 and can be collected by reaching various ranks in the Battle Pass. Weapon wraps are essentially camo styles for weapons but they can also be applied to vehicles. I can only assume more premium ones will be sold at a later date in the store because it’s a surefire way for Fortnite to earn bare bank. And that’s not all.
Creative Mode
A brand-new Creative Mode is also included in Season 7 of Fortnite, completely separate from Battle Royale. Creative Mode allows you to build whatever the hell you like. You can spawn weapons and props, set in-game options and obviously build to your hearts content all within the Battle Royale map. Progress can also be saved, unlike the previous playground mode from last season, allowing you to share your creations with friends. It’s basically Minecraft meets Fortnite.
Creative Mode is exclusive to Battle Pass owners for a week, after which it will be opened to everyone. The Battle Pass will set you back 950 V-Bucks, as it always has, and you can start playing Season 7 now!
