A celebration of this gen base
The next generation of consoles are nearly upon us so we thought it’d be a good idea to look back at the current generation and create a list. Everyone loves lists, right? Tomorrow marks the first release of our new Games of the Generation feature. We were gonna go for GotG but we didn’t want Disney on our arses.
Games of the Generation is largely a celebration of the best games to be released for this generation of consoles — PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We’ve left out the Nintendo Switch because it’s its own beast and we aren’t entirely sure which generation it’s actually operating from. Over the coming months, we’ll be dropping bi-monthly written and visual/audio (aka video) pieces focussing on specific, or a series of, games that we (NGB) bloody love.
Some of you may think this is because we forgot to do a Games of the Decade feature, and you’d be right. But this gives us an excuse to shine the spotlight on some great games over the last 7 or 8 years and we hope you enjoy!
