Speaking to Ausgamers.com, Guerrilla Games’s Steven Ter Heide has been speaking about all things Killzone 3 and one of the subjects he speaks about in the interview is the fact that the loading times in the game are pretty much no-existent. He also states that the company want to get rid of them totally so gamers have a experience where they are not interrupted with loading screeens etc.
The loading times are another thing that people commented on, they said the loading times are too long — there’s these loading hiccups in the game as well. As you can see from this build already, those loading times are pretty much gone and we want to get rid of them completely. So it’s going to be one seamless experience. You pop in the disc and play it through from beginning to end — we want to get rid of that as much as possible.
This is great news without a doubt as this is something that we should be seeing a lot more in this generation and now that Guerrilla has implemented this into Killzone 3, maybe we will see other developers do the same. Let’s hope so.
