Heavy Rain Restocked In UK Stores After 'first week' Availability Problems

by

In it’s first week of Heavy Rain’s release in the UK, it seemed that most PS3 owners must of been dying to get there hands on the game as the title had a very impressive first week sales in the UK and most other countries around the world as well. In its first week Heavy Rain sold 100,000 copies in the UK, 200,000 in the Americas, 50,000 in France and 25,000 in Japan and other countries sales figures were hitting the right spot as well as in total, Approximately 500,000 copies of Quantic Dream’s PS3 debut sold 500,000. Good stuff.

There was a downside to Heavy Rain selling that many copies though as there were many PS3 owners left out in the cold due to stock shortages in the UK and i can imagine it being the same with other countries around the world also but the problems seem to be other now as Jem Alexander – Social Media Manager for SCEE (Sony Computer Entertainment Europe) posted an article on the Official Playstation Blog stating that the Heavy Rain stock shortages are now over as stores across the UK have been restocked –

Due to overwhelming demand from you guys for Heavy Rain, some of you may have had problems getting hold of the game over the last few weeks. I thought I’d stop by and let you know that all UK retailers have been restocked this week.

So if you weren’t able to get your hands on Heavy Rain before, you should have no problems finding it now! Stated Jem on the Official Playstation Blog.

So that’s good news all round then as at least now everyone can get the chance to play one of the most original and damn right fantastic titles thats been released for a long time. You want a change from your regular FPS and play something that is unique and done with such brilliance? get Heavy Rain.
