IO Interactive have released a video playthrough of the multiplayer mode Contracts which is included in their upcoming title, Hitman: Absolution.
Contracts is a new online mode which lets players create and share their own custom hit challenges within the game. Players will choose a level, targets, weapons and set their rules on completing the contract which is based on time, style and witnesses. It comes as an asynchronous mode and players can compete against friends at any time regardless of if they are online. The game will come with many pre-set contracts which have been designed by the very best assassins at IO Interactive.
Once accepting and then successfully completing the contact, players will be rewarded with contract dollars with the amount based on how well they did. In order to create more elaborate and creative setups, the player can choose from a vast arsenal of weapons, disguises, upgrades, and techniques; all of which can be unlocked by either playing through the story mode or by spending contract dollars.
The video comes in at 18 minutes long and comes with commentary from game director Tore Blystad and Travis Barbour, part of the community team at IO Interactive. Let us know your thoughts via the comment section below.
