Hitman: Absolution Release Date + Sniper Challenge Announced

Get your gloves on and your pistols ready, as Square Enix has today announced Hitman: Absolution will be released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 20th.

The publisher has also revealed details regarding the Hitman: Sniper Challenge, an exclusive standalone experience for those who pre-order the game. If you pre-order the Hitman: Absolution, you’ll be able to partake in the challenge from May 15th for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  The PC version will be made available via Steam on August 1st.

The Hitman: Sniper Challenge will task you with taking out Richard Strong Jr (CEO of Stallion Armaments) and his staff of bodyguards from a balcony overlooking a roof-top party. More skilled players will capitalise on score multipliers, discover secret extras, unlock equipment upgrades and also marvel at the many creative ways that players can dispose of a body whilst they work to fulfil their contract.

As a nice little bonus, the highly powered Kazo TRG sniper and other upgrades can be unlocked and carried into the full release of Hitman: Absolution. An online leaderboard will also let you compare their sniping abilities with other players around the world.

Jon Brooke, Brand Director of the Hitman Franchise stated:

“Agent 47 is the best in the business so it seemed appropriate to create the best pre-order reward possible for our fans,  HITMAN: SNIPER CHALLENGE is a way of thanking customers and giving them a taste of Agent 47’s skills from the moment they pre-order the game.
