Recently IGN posted an article stating that they have info from a source that Insomniac who have had a long and trusted relationship with Sony and that future Insomniac titles would be multi platform. The article by IGN was nothing more than a rumour and one of the reasons we didnt post anything about this story was because it really didnt have anything at all to back this rumour up and im speaking for myself here (but im sure there are plenty of others that agree) but i personally just couldn’t see this happening at all. Maybe there is some truth in the rumour somewhere as there is always a chance things like this could happen but nothing in the IGN article at all suggests that this is about to happen.
Anyway to move on slightly, Insomniac responded with the rumour with community manager from Insomniac Games, J Stevenson responding to a thread on NeoGAF entitled “IGN: Rumor: Insomniac Games Going Multiplatform” with the following quote –
Well guys, Ted has spoken so you have that.
But c’mon, didn’t we just deal with this rumor like two months ago? And a few months before that? And so on?
That to me seems like case closed.
We will keep you posted if any other developments happen with this story but i wouldn’t hold your breath.
