How do you improve a product that has proven to be highly successful? Stick to the same formula or rip it up and start all over? Given the success that EA achieved with FIFA 09 the expectancy levels from journalists and fans has now been pushed to all new heights. The critically acclaimed FIFA 09 had established itself as the current-gen football champ and will now be expected to improve in the next version expected to be released at the end of this year.
The community lets you know that there are many areas that can be improved upon. Shouts of “manager mode”, “edit mode”, “online” and “gameplay tweaks” can be heard from all corners of the earth. Small changes to a great product is always the best and most proven formula for success. To their credit EA have produced a great gameplay engine that can be tweaked and built upon to provide a fluid and rewarding football experience.
