Good news Jak & Daxter fans, it seems like Sony are set to re-release the first three games from the much-loved series on the PlayStation 3.
Whilst the existence of the collection has yet to be officially confirmed, a leak from the USK (Germany’s video game rating organisation) strongly suggests Sony are planning to release a “Jax & Daxter Trilogy Edition” in the near future.
The leaked listing doesn’t reveal any other details, but we expect the bundle will feature Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II and Jak 3 remastered in HD. Much like other HD collections already available on the PlayStation 3, trophy support is also very much likely.
A few of us here at NGB have extremely fond memories of the Jak & Daxter series on the PlayStation 2, and would welcome this release with open arms. How about you guys, would you purchase the Jak & Daxter HD collection? Do you think this could pave the way for a brand new Jak & Daxter game on the PlayStation 3? We would certainly love to see that! Whatever your thoughts may be, let us know via the comments section below.
UPDATE: Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has confirmed to IGN that the collection is indeed on the way. When asked for a comment, SCEA stated the following:
“We can confirm the Jak and Daxter Collection is coming and will have more news to share shortly.”
