Whilst Microsoft’s Gamescom event was little more than a rehash of their E3 conference it did have a couple surprise, least not that a new Jurassic World is on the way.

Jurassic World Evolution is a new game created by Frontier, the geniuses behind titles such as Planet Coast, Elite and Zoo Tycoon. It’s quite fitting then that the new Jurassic World game is a park builder, playing directly to their strengths. Jurassic World Evolution launches summer of next year and ties in nicely with the theatre release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in June 2018.

The game is set to expand on the Jurassic World mythology allowing players to create and manage their very own Jurassic World. Situated on the iconic island of Isla Nublar, and surrounding islands of the Muertes Archipelago, players will not only be able to build a park but also bioengineer new dinosaur breeds. Although, if Jurassic World is anything to go by this may not be the best course of action.

Very little else was announced for Jurassic World Evolution other than it will be releasing on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
