Konami have pulled off a major coup in securing the license for next year’s blockbuster tournament, the UEFA Euro 2016.
Even more, they have confirmed that the license is exclusive to them too, meaning that you will only be able to play an official licenses version of the tournament through PES.
Konami aren’t being quiet about it too, with the official Henry Delauney winners trophy being presented at Konami’s booth throughout Gamescom this week.
European Brand Director of Football at Konami, Erik Blandineres has also welcomed the news, stating that the team will represent Euro 2016 ‘in a way that truly reflects the status of this epic tournament’. Could this mean a full standalone Euro 2016 title? Only time will tell.
