As of today, if you download the latest system update for your Nintendo 3DS, you will be able to capture video in 3D.
Allowing you to record up to 10 minutes of 3D video in the palm of your hands, you’ll be able to put together some great footage by taking advantage of features such as “Interval Shot” (record image after image in short timed intervals) and “Frame Pick” (take many still images and join them together to create stop motion footage).
Thanks to the update, new features will become available in the StreetPass Mii Plaza too, including new panels to swap and collect for Puzzle Swap. You will also have the option to embark on a new StreetPass Quest, with new tools to help beat your enemies, in addition to new hats to discover and collect.
Speaking of StreetPass, a new challenge now awaits fans. A geographical map is now available to complete, with each collectible section based on a location. Like a jigsaw, each time you meet a new person from each region, you gain another piece of the map. The more people you meet from a different country, the more sections of the map you’ll collect!
Wait, there’s more! Ever wanted to transfer content between your 3DS consoles? Well, the system update will allow you to do exactly that. Software purchased from the Nintendo eShop, Nintendo eShop account funds, and save data including photographs and audio can now all be easily transferred between your Nintendo 3DS consoles.
Finally, the Nintendo eShop will also receive an upgrade. You will now be able to play demo versions of select 3DS titles, so you can make an informed decision before a purchase. The option to conduct downloads whilst the system is in Sleep Mode is also included.
