Hey you guuuys!
Lego Dimensions Expansion Packs
There are a bunch of cool Lego Dimensions Expansion Packs coming this way! On May 12th you’ll be able to expand your Lego Dimensions collection with three new blockbuster themed packs for The Goonies, Harry Potter and Lego City.
Lego Dimensions – The Goonies
The Goonies level pack, as the title suggests, includes a brand-new level based on the blockbuster film. Players will be able to play through the story of the film, from helping Sloth and Chunk escape the Fratelli hideout, through to the search for One Eyed Willy’s (hurr) treasure. Sloth and Chunk also come included, each with their own special abilities. Sloth can use his super-strength to smash through walls, whilst Chunk comes loaded with his famed Truffle Shuffle. Willy’s Pirate Ship also makes an appearance, allowing players to sail on water. You’ll also get your hands on the Skeleton Organ, with its sonar smash abilities. Not only that but there will also be a new Battle Arena and Adventure World allowing you to explore Mikey’s House, Inferno Cove and the Goon Docks.
Lego Dimensions – Harry Potter
Harry Potter fans rejoice as Hermione is making her appearance in Lego Dimensions. The Harry Potter fun pack includes the Hermione Granger minifigure with the ability to cast spells such as Wingardium Leviosa and Lumos for levitation and lighting shenanigans. The pack also unlocks Battle Mode for Harry Potter, alongside the Adventure World that unlocks the exploration of Hogwarts, Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. The 3-in-1 rideable Buckbeak is also included with its stomp attack for smashing Silver Lego bricks.
Lego Dimension – Lego City
Another fun pack, this time it’s Lego City themed. The Chase McCain minifigure playable character can use its master of disguise to help stop crime in the Lego Multiverse. Chase can disguise as a miner, allowing you to break silver bricks, and also a Fireman equipped with a Water Beam to tackle those pesky Lego fires. You’ll also unlock a scanner which can be used to track down bad guys. Blackwell’s Moon Base and the Police Department become explorable as part of the Lego City Adventure mode. And, as with the other packs, a new Battle Arena will be part of the mix. You’ll also get to fly around the streets in the 3-in-1 rideable Police Helicopter which can be rebuilt into a Hovercraft and Plane.
Quake, Rattle and Roll
Quake Champions will be running an open beta in the next few days. Starting 12th May, players will be able to finally have a chance to play the new Quake game. Currently, the beta has only been playable over the weekends, and closed off to the public, only accessible by those with codes. The open beta will playable 24/7 over 10-days, eventually closing on May 21st. If you’re interested in play Quake Champions, head over to their website and register to be part of the test. Assassand’s Creed
Assassin’s Creed Origins has seemingly been leaked on Reddit, with Eurogamer claiming that it is indeed the real deal. The off-screen photo shows what appears to be the game’s protagonist sailing on a river in, assumed, Egypt. Even with the out of focus photography, it looks bloody great. If that wasn’t enough to whet your appetite the mission objective in the top left-hand corner of the screen reads “Assassinate the Crocodile” so, you know, there’s that. Whether this triggers an official announcement, I’m not sure, regardless we can pretty much guarantee we’ll be seeing the next Assassin’s Creed game at E3 this year.
Get Even
If happiness and joy aren’t your bag you’d be better suited for Get Even. Over the last few weeks, side story videos for Get Even have been posted on YouTube and today we have Episode 4. It’s worth going back and watching the others, to get clued up, but it’s shaping up to be a mysterious horror type game in a similar vein to Outlast. Not a huge amount is known about the game which only adds to the mystique of the game but you’ll get a good idea from the videos posted on their YouTube account. Get Even is a new psychological thriller made by Polish studio, The Farm 51, and is releasing on the 26th May.

Spoiler Alert
In not so surprising news EA has announced that there will be a new Need for Speed game released by the end of this year. Ghost Games are behind NFS 2017 and look to bring back more of what makes a Need for Speed game so great. Customisation is set to return, playing a large part in the game. Cops will also be present but it’s not yet known whether they will be playable, I’m assuming not, though. In fact, not a huge amount of details have been released but expect a lot more info at EA Play next month. One thing players will be pleased to hear, though, is that single player will be playable offline, meaning we’ll be able to pause the damn game! There’s a bit more information about the reveal over at needforspeed.com.
